Appendix 1—2/1 Versus Fourth Suit Forcing

One advantage of 2/1 Game Force is that responder no longer has to worry about finding a forcing rebid, since any rebid below game is forcing. In standard methods, many of responder's rebids are not forcing, such as 2NT, a rebid of responder's suit, or a raise of opener's suit. With 13 or more points, therefore, responder must either jump right to game or find another forcing bid such as a new suit or a jump in an old suit. A bid of the fourth suit by responder is often used as an artificial game force in standard bidding. Could this be used instead of 2/1 Game Force?
